PORR CONSTRUCT: Important works contracted on the local market

PORR Construct, the local subsidiary of the Austrian group PORR based in Vienna, with an average annual turnover of 3 billion EUR, is currently running important works in Romania, such as the construction of two wastewater treatment plants in Ciacova and Făget (to be completed in 2014), two projects of sewerage network in Nojorid village and in Timişoara (2014), the rehabilitation of the DN 76 road - the second batch (with deadline in 2015) and a draft work for the coast of Mamaia Sud (2015). In March, PORR received the final decision to build 16.3 km of motorway on the section Sebeş - Turda (fourth batch), that must be completed in 2016. The company PORR Construct has the necessary expertise as general contractor in order to accomplish a complex range of civil works, railways and subways, as well as environmental projects, being permanently focused on expanding the area of competences. With a decade of experience on the local market, the company has established itself in particular through the implementation of infrastructure objectives and has successfully completed major projects such as the rehabilitation of the railway line Câmpina - Predeal (in 2011), and Arad Bypass (2012). The Romanian subsidiary of PORR group is led by the Austrian managers Klaus Bleckenwegner and Johann Höden. The company is certified today by DQS GmbH, based on the reference standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. The certifications cover a broad range of construction works, demonstrating again the capability, efficiency and care that the company has for the environment and the employees. In 2010, PORR Construct obtained also the certification of Social Responsibility Management System, based on referential SA 8000. The objectives set out at the level of the company's management for the next period aim at strengthening the local construction market activity through contracting new projects and the timely completion and high quality standards of all work.
