PLASTSISTEM: The sales from this year will exceed 20 million EUR

The Plastsistem company, a member of the Teraplast group, reached a turnover of 36.3 million RON in the first six months of this year, increasing by 10% compared to the same period in 2013. For the full fiscal year in progress, the company estimates a 13% increase in sales to 91 million RON (20.5 million EUR). The increase achieved in January-June was due, in particular, to the concentration of the domestic market, give that, in this segment, the activity of some multinational companies ceased and the company benefited from the demand production of galvanized mild structures introduced on the market in 2013. The upward trend will continue until the end of the year. At the moment, the company is on track concerning the annual target. However, in the next period, Plastsistem management plans to develop its product portfolio, but this will not necessarily involve an investment in new capacities. Also, another objective aims at improving the cash flow and the increase of the company's profitability. Plastsistem is one of the leading local suppliers of complete systems for the construction of industrial, logistics, warehousing and commercial buildings. The sandwich panel factory is located in the Teraplast Industrial Park in Bistriţa and has an annual production capacity of over 2.2 million square meters. The company also owns a production line of galvanized structures that can carry 5,000 tons / year of Z, C, U and Sigma profiles with sections' height between 100 mm and 400 mm and thicknesses from 1 mm to 4 mm. The unit was inaugurated last year, following the implementation of a European-funded project with a total value of 2.5 million EUR. In 2011, the company abandoned the production of traditional structures and turned towards manufacturing lightweight structures, because, at the level of the final costs borne by the customer, the new systems offer many advantages. Plastsistem is the only manufacturer with wholeRomanian capital among the top three competitors on the sandwich panels market.
